SafeRing, SafePlus 12/24kV, ABB Poland

The project was developed in close cooperation with ABB, an international corporation that is a leader in the electricity industry. The implementation consisted of the retrofitting according to the requirements of the power utility of 102 MV switchgear: SafeRing and SafePlus. The technical data is included in Table 1.

The purpose of SafeRing, SafePlus:

These series find their application in:

– distribution networks for secondary energy distribution,
– small industrial plants,
– wind power plants,
– office buildings,
– hotels,
– shopping centres.

In our case, the types implemented were:
– 3-field – CCV,
– 4-field – CCCV,
– 5-field – CCCCV and CCCVV,
where: C – linear field, V – transformer field

Realisation:

The scope of Radiolex’s work included the wiring of the switchgear, i.e. the provision of:
– power supply for the drives, signalling and control circuits of each bay,
– remote control of the mechanisms of the disconnectors or circuit breakers – depending on the field in question,
– the derivation of telecontrol signals to the plug-in connector – signalling the position of a given apparatus, information on the supply of control circuits, on reduced gas pressure, or the possibility of deleting the signalling of the MV protection tripping.

In addition, the work included:
– the design and construction of platforms. The platform covers were painted in the colour of the housing – RAL7035.
– the design and manufacture of the covers for the line bays. They were powder coated in the colour – RAL7035.
– Design of type B24 plug-in connector.
